The Suprasternal Notch

·   What I prefer to show children to use for a choke hold, out of dozens of answers that come to mind. When grabbed, is to slide their hand up the front of the attacker’s breast bone. Then to take two fingers and when they go past the top of the breast bone (the sternum) to press into the neck and then hook their fingers and press downward hard.

Try it on yourself, You will gag,. Of course it is unexpected. The intense feeling of gagging. This gives you opportunity to escape, You haven’t damaged them, just made them extremely uncomfortably.

Young children can make this work on me. Practice on yourself to understand the technique and develop the skill.
