Black Belt Kicking Drills
This is round three on these drills. Just went through my
older notebooks and discovered the original list of drills from 1994. As time
passes they have been changed to meet ever changing students needs, and
somewhat reduced in number. But I feel the need to save the original listing.
They were developed years before.
1.
To provide a structured partner drilling set.
2.
To teach specific principles involving use of
the initial kick to shift the attacker’s weight when injured onto the lead leg
and then attack that leg.
3.
Preserve interesting studies from friends training.
4.
To prepare the student’s to be unexpected in
their responses.
The previous articles are here. A
video of some of those drills is there too.

Tam Tui
There are many versions of Tam Tui, which is a system in its own right. This is also an introductory form taught by the Chin Woo Association. And as Northern Eagle Claw is in the Chin Woo, it is one of the 10 introductory studies of Chin Woo that begins a students studies in Eagle Claw.
Tam Tui is also one of the studies I had with Ernest Rothrock.

The Legacy of Northern Eagle Claw Kung Fu - July 1985
Among my studies was that of Faan Tzi Ying Jow Pai (Northern Eagle Claw). I am sharing this history of the system to honor my instructor Ernest Rothrock a student of Shum Leung.
