I became aware
of the potential uses of Indonesian Arts from the Tjimande techniques Tristan
Sutrisno shared with me.
Eventually I
bought some videos (This was the pre-YouTube era) on various Indonesian Arts. I
learned this from one of those tapes.
One technique
was a an Indonesian Snake technique which used a fractal (portion) of the
karate mawashi uke. Really good for punishing arms.

It is an extremely useful technique when you tear into their arm.
