A taste of Kali


One of the inherent problems in training is that too often it is too easy to just focus on the same sorts of attacks to work on new technique counters.

 

There is nothing wrong with this as a way to first develop basic execution, however in the long run it becomes necessary to consider other sorts of attacks, with unfamiliar patterns of attack.

 

An interesting study is shown by Dan Inosanto

In his Kali Video.

 

There he shows some basic attack defenses for  escrima stick, sword vs. sword and empty hand application of the same principles.

 

Most likely these are not hand patterns being used in your studies.
