Master Clarence Ewing: Isshinryu Karate Rare Film 1963 Complete Video

By Kimberly Ewing

My Father Clarence Ewing is a 8th Degree Black Belt. He was born in Nashville, TN in 1936 and grew up in Indianapolis, IN.  He studied under Master Tatsuo Shimabuku while in the Marines and before leaving Okinawa was promoted to Black Belt.  In the 1960's and 1970's he taught Karate in Indianapolis.  He is credited with bringing Isshinryu Karate to the Midwestern States and many fine Karate Ka developed under his instruction. The original footage was filmed at Mudokwan Judo-Karate School in Indianapolis by Hank Stott and edited by my God Father John Lennox. After 50 years, I made the final edits only adding new music, a few pictures on the front and the end of the video and brightening it just a little.  Overall it was kept in its original state.
