The students doing Seisan are using a twisting punch not the tradition Isshin-Ryu punch.

It is not that simple, in 1961 at his Okinawan students request, Tatsuo reverted to teaching the twisting punch. When he taught in Pittsburgh in 1964 the twisting punch is how he taught. Returning to the USA in 1966 he discovered his American students were using the vertical punch. That impressed him and he later reverted to the vertical punch.
