To start the day, perhaps we should try
and learn a lesson within the applications of Motobu Naifanchi Shodan. It is a
simple lesson but one worth learning.
As they do the kata, there is a hidden technique explored. Where one steps across. Now look closer at the kicking potential shown.
Of course I see
the Angi Uzeu version using the same stepping motion for a side blade of
the foot kick, ending in a stomp. But the same potential exists in all
versions, whether a step with a stomp, or a side of the foot blade kick or this
front kick, it reinforces my personal belief that the true value for Naifanchi
kata is a warmup exercise for Chinto kata. Everything is also in Chinto.
