Jim Keenan begam
his karate studies in Pittsburgh Pa. Later moved on to study Shito Ryu, Then various Chinese studies includimg
Tai Chi and PaQua among other studies. Later he traveled around the world as a
Japanese and Chinese translator for the Deparment of Defense. He taught
Isshinryu in Israel and also studied Krav Maga with Imi Lichtenfeld
Finally he
created Dotokushi Kai in Massachusetts.

Jim was the
first non-Jewish, non-Israeli to be awarded a Krav Maga Black Belt and to
receive permission by Imi to teach Krav Maga.
Jim Keenan was
the first person who had master credentials from various other Martial Arts to
give full recognition and respect to Krav Maga.
