Some of the examples shown might be
thought of as ‘Ghost Techniques.
Ghost Techniques came from Ernie’s
Shaolin Black Belt Manual, from back in 1981 where I first read of them there.
I remember telling me he taught them to
his black belt equivalent students, but most did not continue to work on them.
He originally got them from his first
instructor in NJ, which was in that instructor’s form of karate. His instructor
might have got them from his grandfather who had been a Chinese missionary who
also studied the Chinese arts while there. Or they may have come from a NJ Wado
group, or a NYC Ninjitsu group he instructor used to belong to.
While not sure of the source they still
work.
