Nakazato
Joen (仲里常延)
1922 ~ 2010 Founder Shōrinji-ryū (少林寺流). Nakazato Joen began training
with Kyan Chotoku April 1937 to December 1943. He was 15 years old when he
started in the Agricultural School in Kadena. Nakazato Joen used Seisan kata as
a 'Tanren (鍛錬)'
tempering; forging; hardening; disciplining; training, kata.
Shimabuku Tatsuo
Sensei taught the first part of Seisan kata similar to Sanchin kata. It seems Nakazato Joen Sensei also learned
this from Kyan Chotoku Sensei.
